The Epsom based band night had a selection of 5 local bands performing live.  Step Sound provided a large Martin Audio sound system which greatly improved on the sound from their previous events.

Step Sound regularly provides sound and lighting production for Stagecoach Epsom.  For the Pantomime show Step Sound provided lighting by Clay Paky, ETC and Zero 88 and sound from Martin Audio and Yamaha.

The teachers were very pleased with the results.  Comments were made on how the lighting matched the music and dancing well and the quality of sound reproduction.

We provided two stacks of PA for loud and clear music playback and announcements.  The spectator area was floodlight before and after the display.  Effect lighting was then placed in the pavilion at the front of the spectator area to add to the visual effect.

The system consisted of 4 Hill Audio full range speakers and 4 Hill Audio sub-bass speakers with Bose 101 speakers as front fills.  On stage monitoring had to be small and unobtrusive so the HK Audio Lucas 8″ speakers were chosen due to their high SPL to size ratio.    Finally the theatres EV delays were then used to provide additional coverage underneath the balcony in the stalls as well as the upper section of the circle.

Comments were made regarding the systems high output for speaker size and the overall quality of the sound.

The site included a large marquee in which there were a variety of live music performances, speeches and special guest appearances. As well as a cafe which we transformed into a small theatre for the weekend and a chapel which we ensured the playback of a promotional video could be heard.

Special guests included Ben Fogle and Charlie Dimmock with performances ranging from a Steel Band to Community Choir to Jazz Trio.

Sound Equipment included Hill Audio Powercube Full Range Speakers and Bass Speakers, Various Lapel and Handheld Sennheiser Radio Microphones, BSS Audio Outboard, Soundcraft and Yamaha mixing consoles as well as Motorola Radio Communications.
Lighting Equipment featured ETC Source Four Juniors,  Par 64 Lanterns and Clay Paky Mini Scan HPEs.
